Tonight I went with my kids (5 and 8 year olds) to the Sydney Symphony in the Domain. The Domain is a large flat area with big fig trees. It’s located between the city and Botanical gardens.
Arrived in the car park. Opened doors getting things out and along side a green Tarago (min van) pulls up I turn to say Hello not surprised that it is my Friends (a family). I had been thinking about Yohanna about 30 mins before arriving in the car park.
They parked we met up – ofcourse they were there for the Symphony as well. Yohanna had friends in the Domain already (we were there 2 hours before the start they were there 5 hours early). Pleantly of space immediately around Yohanna’s friends so we had a great place right up the front.
So we met the People around us, then I looked up and looked at the 10s of 1000s of people filling the Domain for this free event. Coloured tops on blankets of lo folding chairs, cheese and biscuites, ffresh salads, little picnics all over the place. Groups of friends and families dotted over the park like pieces of material on a patchwork quilt. Each group with its own story. Like pieces of material sewn together to make the quilt each group was sitting and flowing into the next. A large blanket of humanity. A happy and buzzy atmosphere. People chating before settling in anticipation. Reminisent of the rainbow lorrikeet parrots loud chatter as they roost in the tall beach side Norfolk island Pines at sunset.
By 7.45pm the flying foxes, sometimes called fruit bats, were flying over the tree tops most going in the same direction with a few flying in the opposite direction. Cool evening air replacing the hot sun.
Musicians and the choir filled their seats on the stage, the big screens lit up, and all could see and hear what was occuring on stage.
Music……especially live music – beautliful music – rousing music – music with a story – feels so good.
A journey being taken while listening.
People I know who are high tone and successful know that what is in their internal (that is what are their thoughts, intentions, focus) creates their reality every minute of every day. So filling their senses with things of beauty or things uplifting, thought provoking toward solutions is what they do. This makes a difference.

I’d like to just write suggestions of what to bring into your external environment but it’s easier to summaries a few tips – no television, no commercial radio, no “nasty” movies…..sounds pretty judgemental to just lable these I know but that’s the easiest way for me to write it.
Beautiful music is one of the many beautiful things to keep in your life and surrounds.
So tonight in Sydney many gathered together to enjoy beautiful music, excellent weather, friendly people and share a meal with friends. I noticed also when People left the area at the end of the evening there was very little rubbish on the ground, earlier those working as part of the event handed out a bag for general rubbish and one for recyclables to all groups. It was just these bags left ready for collection.
When surrounded by Beautiful things people’s actions are more in the direction of good living. The trick is in getting the mind set such that we can always see and appreciate the beautiful in what our eyes and other senses are taking in. Interpretation is personal.
So with the full moon just past I have reviewed the resolutions action list I created for this moon cycle. Time for completions as the moon completes the cycle back to a New Moon. Surrounding oneself with beautiful things, experiences is a great intention.
Here is a way that Grandmother has shared to begin the day and maximize our awareness of the many gifts God-Creator-the Source send us every single day. We live surrounded by beauty and miracles…they are ours for the mere acknowledgement!
“Begin your day with a focused moment, sit up as you awaken and think of four things that you feel grateful for, two people you appreciate in your life, and speak aloud good of yourself……
“Say, ‘May my eyes see one thousand beautiful things, and my hands touch one hundred sacred things! ‘
“Now the brain is in flow with intent.
Repeat throughout the day as often as needed in celebration of recognition and having an “Aha!” moment when you did catch the meaningful things of your day!
“Want success? Just count the good things of each day and give grateful acknowledgement that you have allowed it to be part of your day!” – Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha
Nb my kids loved the Symphony especially the surprise 1812 Overture with fire words replacing the cannons.
May your every moment see you surrounded with Beauty.
Beauty to the Left
beauty to the Right
Venerable Pa’Ris’Ha teaches much that is the Beauty Way.
